Ski Kazakhstan

November 30, 2019 - December 15, 2019
  • « Spitsbergen Sail & Ski
  • Chamonix Day Tours »

I’ve met hospitable Kazakhs in Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Russia and all spoke of the beauty of the mountains of their homeland.  Kazakhstan, the ninth largest country in the world and rich in natural resources, looks to the future with confidence and with the aim of becoming one of the most developed countries in the world.  The country is also eager to develop tourism and so I think we should go before too many others do.

Assuming this is a one off visit I feel we should ski in different areas and see something of this vast country.  The plan is therefore to ski in three mountain ranges, the Altai, Dzhungarsky Alatau and Zailiysky Alatau.
